"Vérités Dame" is a Gate to the Historic Port.
"Vérités Dame" is a house made of stone and wood renovated while maintaining a significant part of the original construction. All areas have free space and natural light. The decor is classic with some contemporary and unique touches. It is part of the Historic Center of Porto, located on the Verdades stairs next to the D. Luis I Bridge.
"Vérités Dame" has three loft-style floors, the first (40m2, at street level) consists of the kitchen, dining area, reading area, bathroom and access to the patio (18m2). The second floor (40m2) is divided by the living room, office, bathroom and bedroom with double bed. The third floor (20m2) is a bedroom with two single beds.
The patio is a space with lots of light that can be used for meals or leisure. It has a small garden with fruit trees and flowers and gives access to a vegetable garden tended by the owners.
The house has all the most common equipment of a current and modern house. The kitchen is equipped and has all utensils and crockery to prepare and serve meals. The table has a seating capacity of six comfortably. In the house you can find several reading spaces. The workplace consists of a large desk. Both bathrooms have a shower.
No cars go. To get to the house, Vérités Dame, you have to go down or climb stairs. It is the stairs that give this area of the historic center as a place its unique beauty. The house is in the center of a triangle with the vertices at three points, the cathedral, the lower deck and the upper deck of the D. Luís Bridge.
"Vérités Dame" in summer on hot days, and central seasons is very comfortable, without the need for air conditioning on most days. In winter, heating is essential. In mid-season it is perfect.
The house has two bedrooms and sleeps up to four people. The proposed contract is only for two people. If there is an interest in having more people in the house, these must be authorized and negotiated between the parties, landlord and tenant. Occupation of the house by more (permanent) guests without authorization will be considered a serious breach of the contract, reason for the contract to be terminated within 30 days.
On the day of arrival, the necessary goods for the stay will be available, namely: sheets, blankets, towels, kitchen textiles, among others. Cleaning and personal hygiene products also provided but replacements and refills are not provided, for example toilet paper and shampoo.
Weekly, on an agreed day and for two hours, the house is cleaned and the sheets and towels are replaced. Maintenance is a mandatory and non-negotiable requirement, this cost is included in the rent.
The monthly rent includes internet, water, electricity, gas, cleaning and flat service fees in the amount paid. The costs described are for an occupancy of two people during the different winter or mid-season months. The highest costs are associated with the winter months. If consumption differs from those expected, it will be adjusted, either to reimburse the tenant or the landlord.
