Guarantee of legal certainty. The lease agreements are in full compliance with the laws of the country where the lease is negotiated via Flatio. No matter whether you stay there for one or twelve months.
Online agreement in your language. The basis is an agreement concluded in the language of the place of the lease, but the agreement is always translated into English and the most frequently used languages. The agreement is always signed online, so you can conclude it wherever you are in the world.
Guarantee of a trustworthy presentation of the apartment. With Flatio, you may rest assured the apartment looks exactly as presented. And if, by any chance, the condition of the apartment does not match the description in the listing, we will refund your full rent and fees and give you 7 days of free hotel rooms.
Comfortable extension. Do you want to stay longer in the apartment? No problem. If the owner confirms the apartment is available for you, you will extend the agreement online. Similarly, an agreement may be terminated with a simple 30-day notice, once again, online.
All-inclusive price. The rent includes all services, including utilities and Wi-Fi, and it is not charged unless it exceeds 15 % of the rent. This saves you a lot of paperwork at the time of the apartment handover. If a property does not offer Wi-Fi, it is clearly indicated on the listing page.
Always 30 days ahead. Whether you move in at the beginning or half way through the month, the rent paid always covers the 30 days that follow. With Flatio, the “month" always starts with you moving in and you will never pay multiple rents at the same time.
Take photos of the apartment. We recommend that you take photos showing the current condition of the apartment on the first and the last day of the lease and send the pictures to us. The photos, along with a signed handover report, will be of great assistance when dealing with any unpleasant situations we hope will never occur.

I had the pleasure of spending 1 month at this amazing property through the month of August - September.
What is there not to say about the place wow! Waking up with that view every morning was something more than a blessing. On top of that, the comfort of the accommodation itself was really good. Has everything you’d need as well as a solid location, there’s a nice gym 2 minutes away with some beautiful restaurants dotted around the vicinity as well.
There’s also a car rental down the road and the drives to all the hikes aren’t too far at all. Machico is also home to the only sand beach on the whole island, so that was a plus to be close to!
Nuno the owner is also close-by if you ever need anything and himself & his family are so lovely to deal with.
Overall, I’d highly recommend this place for both short term/ long term rentals and I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Thank you Nuno🤝

Didn’t have any issues whatsoever, I walked past many houses at night and their doors were wide open so I don’t think the locals are worried either which is a good sign!
